FAQs

Our Food

Raw dog food is a combination of uncooked lean muscle meat, offal, bone, vegetables, herbs, and oils. All of our raw ingredients are fully traceable and fit human consumption. For more information on our ingredients, visit our recipe section HERE.

Raw feeds closely resemble what a dog's natural diet would be. Although usual food handling hygiene practices apply, all of our recipes are tested for Salmonella and other nasties. Read more about food storage HERE, and find our tips on transitioning to a raw diet HERE.

Our recipes can be cooked. We recommend either boiling them or a faster flash frying to retain maximum nutritional value. Check out this video to see how.

If you are switching from kibble to a raw diet, then mixing feeds can help your dog become accustomed to it. However, to see the benefits of a raw diet, we recommend removing kibble altogether.

Our recipes are carefully and expertfully balanced to reduce the need for nutritional supplements, but they may still be considered if appropriate.

While every dog is an individual and activity levels differ, it is generally advised to feed a dog 2.5% of its own bodyweight. This figure may increase during winter or with working dogs. You’ll find more from our feeding guidelines HERE.

Puppies have different nutritional requirements than adult dogs. If in doubt, it is best to consult with your vet.

Packing & Delivery

Our boxes are made from fully recyclable, biodegradable materials and our outer labels are printed with vegetable based inks so that we keep our environmental impact to a minimum. We also use Wool Cool, thermal insulation made from 100% natural wool fibres to keep our orders at a safe temperature while in transit. Wool Cool is an amazing packaging solution and you can read more about it HERE.

Wool Cool is biodegradable, reusable, and recyclable.

We deliver across the whole of the UK using DPD as our main courier. We’ll let you know when your parcel has been dispatched and stay updated with texts from DPD, including to confirm your delivery slot. Deliveries are usually between 9am and 6pm.

We would recommend that you are in so that you can receive the delivery and put it straight into the freezer for optimum product quality, but if you really can’t be home you can provide details of a safe space for the driver to leave your box. If the pet food has defrosted you’ll need to ensure it’s eaten within 48 hours.

Deliveries ordered before midday Monday to Thursday should be dispatched the same day for next day delivery and are sent on a 24 hour service with DPD. Orders received from midday Thursday to Sunday will be dispatched on Monday for arrival on Tuesday.

Please refer to your tracking number which will help to locate your package. We are always on hand to help if needed, though.
